REAL SOUL FOOD

I'm talking bout that soul food grandma used to feed you , it won't spoil go bad or make you sick , it would up lift your spirits and leave your mind at ease .

You won't gain weight or clog your arteries .

Sit and listen as grandma fill your plate with a mouth full of knowledge, a spoon full of wisdom and a whole bowl of love .

Only a grandma can prepare this kind of meal and only she has the rite ingredients so that she can put this all together with no measuring cup.

I feel ya, getting a brotha missing that real soul food experience. Here in the states its thanksgiving time, time for families to reconnect and share in the love and spirit of those not with us anymore. Your comments brought back some of those special times that I will always love and cherish...thanks.

Absolutely ! I remember my Big Ma's cooking. It is amazing how much comfort one can find in food. I remember the smells, the sounds, and of course the taste. She has passed on, but she left behind wonderful memories. I have not met anyone yet that can make a coconut cake like her. Everything was made from scratch...no instant anything.
